Mission to Senegal

The mission to Senegal was divided into two stages: Dakar and Saint-Louis.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Dakar Chamber of Commerce, the presentation of the Agrifood Africa project and the 13 participating Italian companies took place. The event was attended in person by 80 Senegalese stakeholders, out of 125 requests for participation received. The presentation was also broadcast via streaming in Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Ivory Coast.

At the end of the institutional session, B2B meetings organized between the Italian companies and local economic operators were held.

The second stage of the mission took place in Saint-Louis, an area located on the border with Mauritania and characterized by strong development in the agricultural sector. The format of the initiative was replicated here as well, with a presentation session

followed by B2B meetings, attended by approximately 30 Senegalese entrepreneurs.

Over the course of the three-day mission, numerous visits to local farms and processing companies were also carried out, allowing the Italian companies to deepen their understanding of the Senegalese production context and the opportunities for collaboration and commercial development.
